Welcome to our school education program designed for a group of high school level students. Over the course of 2 hours, the students will embark on a journey through the rich history of our charity meals service and the church that supports it, here at the heart of Parramatta city.
With our church historian, they’ll uncover fascinating stories about how our 200-year history began, leading up to the meals service itself.
Then the students will dive into a learning session with hands-on experience, led Paul who manages the Meals Plus service that feeds and supports hundreds of people daily. With Paul, the students will explore what community truly means and put their new knowledge into action through practical work. This program is all about learning the ways to make good impact in our community. The students will experience what it means to be making a difference through building a community of hope and transformation.
Our School Education Program provides an exclusive opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding into one of the most vital services at Parramatta Mission, Meals Plus. This will help students gain insight into issues facing people living around the streets of Greater Western Sydney and the way in which Parramatta Mission provides essential support within the community.
